That hardy survivor of the recent invasion, Leutenant Blease, has submitted some still pictures he took of the Martian machines to the Illustrasted Londown News. One can clearly see the immense size of these beasts, which incited great panic. 
The closeups he took of both Tripods and catcher machines show the foreign intelligence and technology which lies behind thir alien minds. The best engineers in London have studied the wrecks in the aftermath but have yet to make sense of a locomotion system which has neither boiler nor furnace!
