Coastal Defence Monitor

I saw this neat looking VSF Coastal Defence Monitor on ebay today, though unfortunately its in 25mm which is not my scale of choice. The 4 turrets train independently and the hull is made in one piece resin.

Does anyone know who the manufacturer is? I want one in 15mm!

I'm probably very wrong but this looks like it may have been designed by the same people who used to produce the PMC(?) range. They used to produce other Victoriana models including a VSF Sub and flying machines. Unfortunately, I don't think they make them in 15mm.

Doesn't look as though it would be too hard to make something similar.

Cheers,

Barry

Thanks Barry, I'll look into it.

I agree withyou, apart from the turrets, that look easy enough given some time and inspiration!

Thanks for the comments!

Looks neat, but would dominate a normal sized wargame table. How long is it?

True Patrick, it is large:

"APPROX SIZE 450MM STEM TO STERN
100MM FROM PORT TO STARBOARD"
But then again, the Navy is always a dominating feature! 9not that I'm biased or anything!)

I got a note back from the seller, the Manufacturer is PMCGAMES, for whom TMP says:

"Resin Steam Powered and Ancillary Vehicles set in the Victorian Age. Resin Development Productions (RDP) Resin 25mm Buildings, Fully Assembled, Painted & Ready to Use."

They appear to be ebay sales only.
Anybody know any differently?

You might be able to make the turrets using the plastic 'egg' that Kinder Surprise toys come in.

I have purchased a vehicle from them via eBay and was very pleased. I think that is the only way they sell.

You can see the vehicle here:

I also would love one in 15mm but
I think I would have snatched that
up regardless of scale. Looking at
it the turrets look rather small
when compared to the pilot house, it would be a simple matter to change it into a 15mm version and use the ship as the one capital ship "off shore". I can't find it however does anyone know how to order one?

Thanks
Don

Don, try contacting them through their seller's email address on ebay.
