Steampunk'd

This is an interesting collection of 14 short-stories covering a broad range of VSF themes.

All the stories are by different authors and this collection includes contributions by Michael Stackpole and William Dietz.

Lots of rousing, steam turbine powered stuff and definately worth a read (with a good claret and a stilton, by the fire of course!)

I saw and picked this up at my local book megastore before Christmas, along with two other anthologies that may be of interested - "Steampunk Prime" and "Steampunk II - Steampunk Reloaded". I don't have, and have never seen, any "Steampunk I" however!

IIRC (I'm not near my books at the moment) "Steampunk Prime" is actually an anthology of period steampunk, rather than the modern interpretation.

Thanks for the Pax Britannia news too, I've picked up a bunch of these now, and finished the first Quicksilver novel earlier this month.

An exploration of debauchery, vice and other reasons to be a man!
